Absolutely gutted that we are not playing this season at Ynysddu having arranged with the council via an e-mail to ground share with Bedwas cricket club.But the council failed to tell us that there were 2 teams.
The good news is that we are no longer playing on that sporting wicket at Tredomen,but the bad news we will be playing our home games at Brythdyr.Have no idea what the state of the cricket pitch is like,but have been informed by the council they have built a new clubhouse.
So here we go again with the start of another season 2008 commencing with our first game this weekend Saturday 3rd May against Radyr away 02:00pm start.This brings particularly good memories of our last match at Radyr when one of our young players Doc Rowe scored 104 not out to win the match for Blackwood.
I look forward to working & developing our youngsters in the 3rd's.Also the old men like Jeff Baker & Phil Williams.My thanks to all the coaches special thanks to Jeff Mudford & Colin Jones for thier hard work.I was privledge to be invited to the under 11's presentation & BTCC future is looking rosy.I would like to finish with wishing both Nelly & Sheltie all the best for
